Clap your hands everybody, clap your hands everybody

This is one hell of a dysfunctional family. It's so funny, I don't know whether to cry or laugh lah. Every friend I know, 99% will have a dysfunctional family. Please, the 1%, please appreciate the fact that you have a non-dysfunctional family. Please, for no rhyme or reason, quarrel with the PARENTS. Tsks.

The PARENTS love blaming their children, and finding the absolute fault in us. When I was young, whenever my mum wanted something from my dad, she will shoved me and sis to do it. You removed the middlemen, the problem is still their. Dysfunctional PARENTS, who never think of their actions. Oh please, grow up.

It says, on dictionary.com, that a parent means;

-One who begets, gives birth to, or nurtures and raises a child; a father or mother.
-An ancestor; a progenitor.
-An organism that produces or generates offspring.
-A guardian; a protector.
-A parent company.
-A source or cause; an origin: Despair is the parent of rebellion

A genitor who does not parent the child is not its parent
Ashley Montagu

Please allow me to speak in favour of we children.

Parents nowdays are getting very vulgar, sprouting all kinds of disgusting words in the many different dialect, language and numbers. Yes, numbers. Fuck is no longer our word. But it's not as if we don't use vulgarities. It's funny because they snap at us when that word comes out of our mouth, but then, use it when they are venting their frustrations.

I know! Because they are the PARENTS!....... tsks

However I am much a hypcrite myself. I hate my folks when they are devils, and of course, love them to bits when they are showering me with money and gifts. How materialistic can I get? As a result, I think I am very much controlled by them.

"Wau lau, this new year, I don't even bear to buy new clothes and cut my hair."
"Huh? But it's your money."
"No one buy for me leh."
"Daddy got you a new phone, you don't want to use. Now you want him to get you new clothes? Make up your mind whether to hate him or love him alright?"

And,
"I think you guys are spending too much."

This is not 1970. This is 2006. No longer is Wan ton mee 50cents per bowl. No longer is a piece of garment $2. Yes, of course, thrifty is a virtue. Yes, I am pampered. Yes, I am spoilt. Yes, I am a spendrift. Yes, I am lazy. Then do your part as a PARENT, and nurtue me Mother and Father.

PARENTS hope their children grow up to be independent, so that they can just stuff money into our mouths and tadah! Job done as a father. Reprimand you when you wake up late for school and tadah, job done as a mother.

I hope I am not following in their footsteps.
