She leaped in the air and did a split before landing gracefully in the fifth position.
Applause filled the auditorium. Cheers and shouts of "Encore! Encore!" came in simultaneously. She broke into a smile -- a modest and wide one. She could see her teacher standing at the back of the auditorium. She was crying. Happy for her? Definitely.
Afrika had never ever in her life, thought that she will be able to dance right in front of an audience of 4000. No way! She was neither the best dancer in her school nor were her techniques up to calibre. She started dancing at a age where many considered too late and her backgrounds were humble. Even her entire family, except some, wasn't too supportive of her and her ambitions. She was really upset but with sheer determination and perserverance, she now had it her way.
She was lucky to have met her --- her dance teacher. She gave her the chance to soar and pursue her dreams. Aware of Afrika's background, she gave her free lessons, sent her to dance examinations and passed on second-hand shoes to her. She knew from the very first day Afrika stepped foot into her studio, that she had the potential and would eventually made her mark. She was right.

-dedicated to Ms Melissa Kimpton, the best teacher in the world. I wouldnt disappoint you-

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is nothing."

Dare to dream. Live your dream.

Love,melis
